Filmed over the course of five years, the documentary follows Veeru’s growth and the discrimination he endures. Born in a Himalayan village, he grapples with his Indian-Nepalese identity and faces bullying, with the focus of the attacks being his father’s Nepalese heritage. Veeru’s sense of helplessness deepens as he witnesses his visually impaired Indian mother suffering constant humiliation. Nevertheless, Veeru remains resilient, finding solace in nature and in his inner world, inhabited by gods and demons.
