Simón Mesa Soto
Born in Medellin, Colombia, in 1986. He studied audiovisual communication at Universidad de Antioquia. In 2014, he finished the MA in filmmaking from the London Film School. His graduation film, "Leidi" (2014), won the short film Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival. "Amparo" is his first feature film.
