Born in Wuhan, China, in 1987. She works as a filmmaker and producer in Chicago, USA. She made her debut, "Out of Focus" (2014). She also made the awarded features "Another Year" (2016), best film at the Visions du Réel, and "Present.Perfect" (2019), winner of the Tiger Award of best film at the Rotterdam International Film Festival.
