Born in João Pessoa, Paraíba, Brazil, in 1964. He is a director, screenwriter and producer. Caldas produced his feature film debut in 1997, when he co-directed “Baile Perfumado” (1996) with Lírio Ferreira. In 2000, he made the documentary “The Little Prince`s Rap against the Wicked Souls”, which he co-directed with Marcelo Luna. He also directed “Happy Desert” (2007, 32nd Mostra), “Land of Desire” (2011, 35th Mostra), “Saudade” (2018, 41st Mostra), “Prision Flowers” (2019, 43rd Mostra), co-directed with Bárbara Cunha, “Tropical Abyss” (2019, 43rd Mostra), and “The Circus Is Back” (2021, 45th Mostra).
