Born in Stuttgart, Germany, in 1974. He studied business administration in Cologne, St. Gallen and New York. In 1999, he co-founding the bauderfilm production company with Dörte Franke. Bauder collaborated with her on several documentaries. He made films like Last to Know (2006, 30th Mostra), The System (2011) and Master of the Universe (2013).
