Born in Ärtemark, Sweden, in 1956. His two short films, "Once Upon a Time" (1991) and "The Crack" (1992), were both selected for the Critics` Week at Cannes Film Festival. His first feature film, "Between Summers" (1995), was screened at the 19th Mostra and at Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes. He also made, among documentaries and fictions, "Lighthouse" (2000), "Tokyo Noise" (2002), "Details" (2003), "Bad Faith" (2010) and "Winter Light Revisited" (2018), in addition to numerous television productions.
