Kira Kovalenko
Born in Nalchik, Russia, in 1989. She is a writer and director graduated from the Kabardino-Balkaria State University. Kira made the shorts films Marevo (2012), The Sky Seemed Too High (2013) and They Abandoned Me (2014), in addition to the feature Sofichka (2016). Unclenching the Fists (2021) is her second feature film.
