Born in Brussels, Belgium, in 1975. He is a screenwriter, director, playwright and theater director. Lafosse made feature films like “Private Madness” (2004), presented in Locarno Film Festival, “Ça Rend Heureux” (2006), “Private Property” (2006), screened at the 30th Mostra and awarded at the Venice Film Festival, “Private Lessons” (2008, 32nd Mostra), “Our Children” (2012), which received the critics’ award honorable mention at the 36th Mostra, “The White Knights” (2015), winner of best direction award at the San Sebastián International Film Festival, “Keep Going” (2018, 42nd Mostra), “The Economics of Love” (2016) and “The Restless” (2021, 45th Mostra), both screened at the Cannes Film Festival, and “Un Silence” (2023).
