Ivaylo Hristov

Born in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 1955. He majored in acting from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts. Among the films in which he acted, are works such as Buffer Zone (2014), by Georgi Djulgerov, and Thirst (2015, 39th Mostra), by Svetla Tsotsorkova. He made his directorial debut in 2003 with the feature film Emigrants, co-directed by Lyudmil Todorov. Hristov is also director of the TV movie My Friends Call Me Uncle (2006) and of the features Footsteps in the Sand (2010) and Losers (2015). He is also an acting professor and author of the book The Actor in Cinema.
