Filmmaker and journalist, she grew up between the USA and Egypt. She helped produce the Oscar nominated and Emmy award-winning documentary The Square (2013), where the 2011 Egyptian Revolution was chronicled from the frontlines. You Resemble Me is her directorial debut.
