Filmmaker and journalist, she grew up between the USA and Egypt. She helped produce the Oscar nominated and Emmy award-winning documentary "The Square" (2013), where the 2011 Egyptian Revolution was chronicled from the frontlines. "You Resemble Me" is her directorial debut.
