Born in Barcelona, Spain, in 1978, and moved to Germany at a young age with his parents. An actor and producer, he is known for his roles in "Good Bye, Lenin!" (2003), by Wolfgang Becker; "Inglourious Basterds" (2009), by Quentin Tarantino; "Rush" (2013), by Ron Howard; and "Captain America: Civil War" (2016), by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo. Brühl also starred in the series "The Alienist" between 2018 and 2020. "Next Door" is his first feature film as director.
