Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. He made short films like Maps (2006), Obake (2011) and Occasionally, I Saw Glimpses of Hawai’i (2016). His first feature film, August at Akiko’s (2018), was presented in film festivals such as IndieLisboa and Rotterdam. I Was a Simple Man is his second feature film.
