Monica, Toni, and Dasha grew up together in the same residential compound in the suburbs of a small industrial city in the Czech Republic. Their childhood friends are now grown up, each of them struggling, in her own way, to eke out a living. They won?t admit it, but each would like something the other has: love, a family, children. To conceal this desire unleashes in them a variety of feelings, a complex of inferiority, and a passionate attitude.
