Father and son live in a penthouse. They engage in many daily rituals and live isolatedly. Sometimes they seem like brothers; at other times, like lovers. Following in his father’s footsteps, Alexei enters military school. He is fond of sports and only does what he feels like, with a certain tendency to irresponsibility. In addition, he faces trouble with his girlfriend who is jealous of the intimate relationship he enjoys with his father. Even though he knows that one day all children have to live life on their own, Alexei is confused. The father knows that he may accept a better job in another city and, possibly, search for a new wife. But, far from the father figure, who is to relieve the pain of Alexei’s nightmares?
