The Godfather (1972)

Sobre o filme

Now in a version restored by expert Robert A. Harris — who did the same for Vertigo by Alfred Hitchcock and Laurence of Arabia by David Lean — the film is the first of a trilogy that tells the saga of the Italian Corleone family in America. With the support of capo Don Vito, the family becomes the most important and influential in the world of New York crime. Other Italian families, however, seek power and, for such, they plot the assassination of the leader of the Corleone. Based on the book by Mario Puzo who adopted his own book to cinema. An enquiry by British magazine Empire in 2008, from over 10 thousand opinions, voted The Godfather the best film of all time.
