Ana Argento, an accomplished cartoon artist yet frustrated with her relationships, meets two other lonely characters with peculiar lives. Tom is a chronic cataleptic who ironically is a life insurance salesman, and Daniel Torres is a sociopath and rapist coroner with a bizarre method: he pours a voodoo potion to induce catalepsy on women. When they are sent to the morgue, he is waiting for them only to unsuspiciously violate and strangle them. His plans go wrong when Tom also wakes up in the morgue.
