Javier is addicted to crack. With his girlfriend, Nora, he has agreed to carry a shipment of cocaine in an ambulance. With the assistance of Wendy, Javier?s transvestite brother, they steal part of the shipment and escape. Tortured by solitude, indifference, and a lack of communication, Nora, Javier, and Wendy find themselves as three youngsters with no future and with no way out because of the corruption in which they are involved. They decide to go into hiding in El Marquesado, a seaside resort built by the military. Rodolfo and Mercedes, parents of Javier and Wendy, live there and survive stealing pigs and cows from neighboring farms. The conflicts and tensions in the family come to a head in this remote place with a sinister past where the power of the mafia has been substituted by that of the military.
