After the fall of Saddam Hussein, Mamo, a renowned Kurd musician, is granted a license to undertake a journey through Iraq and give a concert. His trusted friend Kako drives the school bus to collect all ten children belonging to the musician and spread about throughout Kurdistan. One of his sons warns him that the old man from the village has predicted that something terrible will happen to him before the next full moon, should he continue with his trip. Even though he has been warned, Mamo insists on going on his journey, having been forbidden from playing for the last 35 years. At the same time, he wishes to convince Hesho, a single woman living with hundreds of other refugees in the mountains to come along and join the group. But Hesho loses the strength of her say and her self-confidence. The group will face countless difficulties in this road-movie, full of adventure.
