Interview (2000)

Sobre o filme

Acclaimed as the first film of the Dogma movement produced in Asia, this film, as with some of its nordic predecessors, manages to balance the tenuous borders that separate a documentary from fiction. Interview, was filmed in Korea and is a love story nourished on images, where action takes place behind a camera. In fact, the 6 mm digital camera used by “hero” Eun-Sok is the protagonist of the feature (in turn, filmed in 35 mm). It is to act as the only link possible between Eun-Sok and his “romantic pair” Lee Young-Hee, one of scores of girls he interviews and with whom he eventually falls in love. One after the other, the young girls take their place in front of the lens to talk freely about love. Omnipresent, the machine that records images is capable of revealing the deepest of secrets and brings Eun-Sok close to Young-Hee and to the other girls interviewed.
