In a holy Iranian city, a very devoted father believes that he has killed his only son and runs to the town’s shrine in order to confess the crime. However, his 15-year-old boy, Ali, is not dead but has fled his father’s rigid rules. In the desert, Ali hears music for the first time from the flute of a shepherd. At this moment, the boy sees the image of an angel and this encounter changes the course of his life forever. Overwhelmed by that strange feeling, Ali seeks his mother’s help, and hiding from the father who believes listening to music is a sin, he heads for Teheran where he meets another angel: the beautiful Azar.
