Legendary Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto passed away in March, 2023, after a long struggle against cancer. In the years leading up to his death, Sakamoto could no longer perform live - but he focused his strength to make this concert film, featuring just him and his piano. Curated by Sakamoto himself and presented in the order chosen by him, the 20 songs that make up the film wordlessly narrate his life. The selection represents his entire career, from the popstar period with the Yellow Magic Orchestra, to the original scores of Bertolucci’s movies, to his last album, “12”.
