As punishment for getting bad grades in school, teenage Margaux is compelled to spend a torrid summer with her father and his new girlfriend at the shores of Lake Geneva, working as a volunteer in an orphanage. There, captivated by the idyllic nature, Margaux will develop a very peculiar relationship with a rebellious and lonely girl that will lead her to reconsider her priorities, and with Joël, a fisherman who has just returned from Indonesia because of the death of his mother. The lake, nature and an idyllic fishing harbour become their hideaway, where they find each other for a brief moment. Until reality tears them apart again.
